Capstone Acquires Calnetix Power Solutions 100kW Microturbine Business
Tue., Feb 2, 2010 Capstone Turbine Corporation (www.capstoneturbine.com), the world’s leading clean technology manufacturer of microturbine energy systems, today announced it has acquired the TA100 microturbine product line from Calnetix Power Solutions, Inc. (“CPS”).
"The CPS TA100 microturbine is most similar to the Capstone product design as compared to other products in the industry and the 100kW rating fits nicely between our 65kW and 200kW product offerings,” stated Darren Jamison, Capstone’s President and Chief Executive Officer.
Energy Recovery Systems LLC ("ERS") has been the New England and upstate New York distributor for the CPS TA100 product line since April 2009 and thier distribution agreement will transfer from CPS to Capstone as part of the acquisition. ERS will also continue to be a distributor for the CPS waste heat generator product line.
