Calnetix Microturbines Receive MA ApprovalTue., Jan 12, 2010 The Calnetix Power Solutions TA100 CHP and Monogen microturbine models have received product approval from the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Plumbers & Gasfitters. This is a requirement for all gas-fired equipment installed in the State of Massachusetts. The TA100 CHP model is used for combined heat and power applications and includes an integral heat recovery unit to generate hot water. The TA100 Monogen is for power-only applications.
The net electrical output of these units is 107kW at 75 degF (not including gas compressor). Both models are available with optional integral gas compressor and outdoor enclosure. Fuel options include natural gas, propane, landfill gas, and digester gas.
Energy Recovery Systems LLC (ERS) was established in December 2007 to focus on the practical application of organic Rankine cycle (ORC) waste heat generation and microturbine cogeneration systems for industrial and municipal energy clients. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Notch Mechanical Constructors, a Massachusetts based industrial mechanical contractor founded in 1972. ERS is the Massachusetts distributor for Calnetix Power Solutions microturbines.
Calnetix Power Solutions (CPS) is a manufacturer of waste heat generators (WHG) and microturbine generation systems for the renewable and distributed energy markets. CPS products are designed to help companies manage their energy costs. The microturbine product line and the Stuart, Florida manufacturing facility were acquired in 2007 from Elliot Energy Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Ebara Corporation established in 1996. CPS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Calnetix, Inc. located in Cerritos, California. Calnetix manufactures highly efficient permanent magnet motors, generators, rotor & stator sets and power electronics. Calnetix, Inc. is a privately held company.
