Microturbine/Reciprocating Engine CHP Systems

Energy Recovery Systems LLC provides turnkey systems for microturbine or reciprocating engine-based combined heat and power systems (CHP) at industrial and institutional facilities.

CHP, also known as cogeneration, is the simultaneous generation of both electric power and thermal energy from a single fuel source. It can significantly lower facility energy costs, improve efficiency, and cut greenhouse gas emissions.

Combined cooling, heating and power (CCHP), also known as tri-generation, expands the CHP system to include the generation of chilled water to better utilize the thermal output of the system throughout the year.

The thermal output can provide heating or cooling for your process or building applications (HVAC, domestic HW, pool).

We can help you select the most appropriate prime mover for your specific application, and then install a complete system.

For reciprocating engine applications, ERS uses dependable industrial grade high-efficiency equipment manufactured by established companies with local service capabilities.

When a microturbine is the more appropriate prime mover, we use the Capstone TA100 microturbine line. With its robust industrial design and integrated heat recovery, it can provide low cost CHP for the long run. ERS is the New England and upstate New York distributor for TA100 microturbines.
